In the May 2010 issue of Women's Health magazine, Jillian Michaels made a candid, if controversial, statement. The fitness guru acknowledged a desire to have children someday, but qualified her comments with "I'm going to adopt...I can't handle doing that to my body."

Though Michaels' comments seem to stem from her past struggles as an overweight adolescent, the interview caused a sensation on parenting blogs. Some women have come out in her defense, while others have been harshly critical.
