Ady's birthday was on Tuesday the 25th. I got that day off so I could drive down Monday night and spend all day Tuesday with the family.
We went to Toys R Us for a few things...toys for Ady of course. I got her one of the only two cards for a niece there (there's probably more at Hallmark).
I gave them several presents: a cute baby apron that I found at a Saturday market, a baby Minnie Mouse doll, a pink sweater and hat I made, and the book I made. She loved the hat. She'd have her mom put it on her before twirling and making sure we were all clapping. We have a video of that and I love to watch it!
She got her own cake and it was everywhere except in her mouth. She loved it! I have pictures of it all over her face and even one of her foot in the messy cake. There's a video of that too. It did take her a little while o figure out that she was allowed to get into the cake, so cute.
I noticed that she had gone from being "serious baby" to being such a happy girl full of smiles that day. I hope that it is now a permanent change. Has anyone else had a kid/niece/nephew who was a 'serious' or 'thoughtful' baby (didn't smile much)?
I get to see her this weekend and I can't wait to play with her in the church nursery again!
