So for almost 3 years my niece has had a great friendship for the ages...with her binky. Well now its time to say goodbye. Goodbyes are never easy and this one is specially hard. The binky has been with her through thick and thin. Through sleepless nights, illness, potty training and tear inducing head bonking and knee skinning, the binky has been her comforting friend.
When Daddy, Momma or auntie scold, the binky is there never judging. It says " You are right, they should have given you candy, or that toy or whatever you wanted. I mean your the baby right."
We told her its time she passes on her friend to another baby that needs it, as she is a big girl and doesnt need it anymore. It causes tears and sorrow. Mommy tries her best to calm, soothe and comfort. She even gives baby massages that are like heaven, but it will take time to forget her best friend. So all we can do is keep saying we love her and someday soon, she will see that sometimes goodbye is the best thing you can do.
